We have called upon Piotr's talent on many an occasion and have always been amazed with the final result of his obvious hard work and old-school skills. From witnessing Piotr's initial enthusiasm for any job presented to him to the final explanation of how his invisible repairs and restorations were done, we have always had full faith that any heirlooms or antiques are in the very best of hands. Amongst other things, Piotr has restored for us burr walnut veneers on loo tables, remade broken legs on Dutch dining chairs and re-french polished and re-glued a host of other furniture. If you've ever watched the "Repair Shop" and wondered what it's like, then visiting Piotr in his workshop will show you how lucky we are to have such a highly qualified local craftsman on our doorstep. Piotr/ Peter Ukleja has been one of the best cabinet makers we have been lucky enough to meet in Edinburgh. We first used his services back in 2010. At the time he skilfully reproduced a missing wooden Victorian moulding impossible to find elsewhere. He additionally created an extension in painted wood of an existing wardrobe. It was difficult to tell one from the original. He has fitted some pre-made units for us. More recently he helped us sort a few issues in our new house and built a beautiful wooden waterproof unit at our ensuite. Remade and reorganised very efficiently all our wardrobes at home. Also built some bespoke shelves for several rooms with the challenges of an old house with uneven walls. Not forgetting a beautiful hand wooden Iroko made tiller for our yacht. Friends of us have been calling him under our recommendation and are as happy as we are with his excellent professionalism and good value for money. He is definitely one of a kind!
