I've had my fair share of rogue builders over the years resulting in disappointing results and money wasted. I know all the good advice about getting estimates, asking around for recommendations etc. However, in an emergency, this is not always practical. Ours is an old property and emergencies occur fairly frequently. Our most recent emergency was a leaking roof. I crossed my fingers and dialled a number at random. Within 40 minutes, Weathering Heights were at the door and ready to inspect the damage to the roof. Less than an hour later, they left me with an estimate and a promise to return the next day. Overnight, there was a heavy snowfall making any work on the roof impossible, nonetheless, a received a phone call from John checking to make sure that the damage wasn't any worse and assuring me that they would be here as soon as the snow cleared....they were! John and Ramsey repaired the leak, found and repaired another leak and repaired a damaged gutter. Despite the additional work, they priced the final job at less than the original estimate. This is a family business they are friendly and professional. They carried out work for us on our sadly neglected roof. Initially they did urgent repairs to stop leaks and then returned to clean the roof and carry out other less urgent but very much needed remedial work. There was never any pressure to have work done just honest professional advice. The work was carried out quickly to a very high standard and with attention to detail. We are absolutely delighted with what has been done and also feel it is extremely good value. We certainly intend to use this company again and have no hesitation in recommending them.
