We stayed in Airidh an Dobhrain for the early May bank holiday and absolutely loved it! The cottage is incredibly well kept, spotlessly clean and in an ideal location, being half way between Berneray and Eriskay, so we could explore the whole of the Uists easily. Everything we could have needed for our stay was provided, including a great information booklet detailing local restaurants e.t.c. and the views from the windows were heaven, looking straight onto a little loch filled with wildlife. This is the second of Ian's cottages I have stayed in and would specifically choose his cottages in the future, and recommend to anyone, as I am confident of the standard they provide. Not only that but Ian himself is a wealth of knowledge and couldn't have been more helpful to us before and during our stay. Thank you so much; we are already hoping to return!

We stayed in Airidh an Dobhrain in the last week of September. Lovely warm and comfortable cottage, well equipped kitchen, good quality furnishings and the best shower ever in the bathroom! We have an electric car and having a charging point at the cottage was a big advantage. The garden of the cottage is beautiful although too cold to sit out in while we were there. There are fresh herbs to pick and even in September there was lots of colour. Ian has put a lot of thought and work into the garden. The cottage location gives easy access to North and South Uist and Benbecula. There is fantastic wildlife in the Uists - white tailed and golden eagles, hen harriers, short eared owls, waders and otters. We wanted to return in 2023 but the week we were looking for is already booked. However we are going to Uist Cottages other cottage in North Uist and Im sure it will be every bit as special!
