Bed and Breakfast Bagh Alluin

August 22 & 23,2018. My husband and I stayed for two nights at Bagh Alluin and had a fabulous time. Jac is the perfect host and very knowledgeable about the Island. The house is beautiful and the room/bathroom spacious, very clean and with stunning views. Breakfast was delicious and an excellent start of a day hiking. And Jac graciously addressed my food allergies with delectable alternatives. A five star place we hope to return to! Het was erg gezellig, dankjewel Jac!

North Uist is a very special place with a watery landscape bounded by stunning beaches and dramatic skies. Bagh Alluin is a fantastic place to stay - set in the heart of the machair on Baleshare with huge open skies teeming with lapwings, oystercatchers and the occasional hen harrier. The mysterious sound of corncrake as the sun sets over the Monach Isles. All this is reason enough to stay at Bagh Alluin however to make the trip even more worthwhile is the host Jac Volbeda - unassuming but friendly he puts on a great continental breakfast. He knows North Uist and surrounding islands intimately and if you have the time (which I recommend you do) will provide you with all the information you need to make the most of your trip.
