Beautiful beach, but the midges where out in full force when we arrived. Our poor dog was like a midge magnet. Might be less of them earlier in the day.

We visited on a blustery day in July, but had a great time watching people walk their dogs on the beach and enjoyed the bird life - including a pair of arctic terns, banded plover, oystercatchers and more.
