Didn't make it as my cat broke out of his carrycase on the way there... They were very nice on the phone when I explained the situation though.

Weve been attending First Vets Bearsden since 2004 with all our pets, and still do. Every member of staff is extremely professional and we would thoroughly recommend them. The care given to the pets and owners is exceptional.

If I could give this practice 0 stars I would. We have had nothing but issues with them and are happily in the middle of removing our dogs from their care. From rude receptionist to patronising vets. We always order medication in advance to avoid delays yet they still take well over a week to order our medication and its not until we chase it we find out it was never ordered in the first place, weve had occasions where we called every day for a week to find out 7 days later it was never ordered in the first place despite being told for the last 7 days it is on order. They refuse to issue order medication stating our dog need a reviews before they can issue it but we have already been charged for it, despite not telling us this is required until we go to collect the medication and have already paid! The receptionist will smirk at you when you say youre unhappy with the care. Vets that ignore the advice of other vets within their practice and those of other specialists that they themselves referred us to. They seem to have no experience in dealing with dogs with severe anxiety and will just suggest a change in diet and ignore all notes already on our file explaining all we have already tried. The vet even attempted to give an anxious dog their annual injection by sneaking up from behind no pre-warning no attempt to build trust and then moaned when the dog reacted which who would not react if they have been jabbed in the back by surprise with a sharp needle? I emailed a complaint into the vets due to being unhappy with the care, later that evening I took my dog in for annual injections as they were due and I would not of been able to switch practice in time for his injections and I over heard the receptionist reading aloud the complaint I had written to the other staff within the waiting room. This complaint was addressed to management, it also should have been confidential as it outlined my dogs care and treatment, they thought they had the right to not only read it themselves but to their colleagues. When I brought this up to the manager about how unprofessional this was they did not even apologise. I honestly would not recommend this veterinary practice to anyone. As for saying we should contact you about our concerns. We have many times it does not get dealt with hence why we are removing our dogs from this veterinary practice to somewhere more competent
