I went to Gerry after having approximately 20 hours with another instructor but felt as if I wasn't progressing. My friend recommended Gerry and after a couple of hours with him my confidence and skills grew significantly. Gerry is really patient, gives clear instructions & has good chat! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a friendly and professional instructor.

The actual lessons themselves and the quality of the lessons are not in question and in fact my son got on great with the instructor and enjoyed the lessons immensely. What you need to be aware of is paying for block lessons up front. Once they've got your money, trying to communicate with the instructors or book lessons is an awful experience. Having bought my son a car for his 17th he was keen to do as many lessons a week as possible ( surely more money in the instructors pocket you would think). However week after week there was only one lesson and even that was a struggle. Then they ground to a halt completely as Jack was having dual controls installed on a new car (fair enough) but he promised to be in touch to arrange the next lesson as soon as it was done. It's now been weeks going into months and despite numerous calls, texts and emails to organise lessons, neither Jack nor Gerry have returned a single call. Having passed his theory test he's now faced with having to find a new instructor. In this day and age how hard is it to reply to a text?

Gerry is absolutely brilliant. I cant rate him highly enough. I came to Gerry after doing 20 lessons with another instructor but felt I wasnt progressing and I was aware I had already picked up some bad habits. It was clear from the first few lessons with Gerry that his instruction was far superior. I would recommend Gerry to anyone, he is calm, and gives clear instruction and teaches in such a way that you enjoy the experience, feel at ease and can see progression being made. I passed today 1st time at Anniesland test centre! I know that wouldnt have been the case if i stayed with my old instructor. Thanks Gerry!
