Edinburgh Motorhome Hire

Hired a motorhome from them, got there, it wasnt available as it broke down, was given and old version, which was sufficiant but defo not worth what we paid, told we could get the one when fixed, when changed over vehicles, still not what was hired, and not in good state, had broken window beside bed area. After two years,mthey are trying to take monies out of my account every month. Watch and do not hire from them.

SCAM ALERT! This operator ruined our trip with his broken down, dirty fleet. We were supposed to have a luxury campervan delivered, but instead we were dragged 30 minutes away only to find our van was not available. We were given a dirty alternate with the check engine light on. This van lost all power on the freeway within an hour. We were then provided with a filthy third vehicle that had issues as well. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS OPERATOR!!!!

Recently hired Lewis the campervan for our honeymoon to go exploring the NC500 and Isle of Skye for 10 days, reading some of the reviews would have you thinking this was a terrible place to hire a campervan from, but this was not the case at all. Couldn't have had a better experience using Edinburgh motorhomes , Mal the owner was very easy going and a pleasure to deal with. The Campervan was perfect for what we needed it for and drove like a dream, even got us round the Famed Bealach Na Ba no problem. Would certainly use them again for when we plan our next trip!

We would not recommend this company. We were very disappointed and badly let down. When we arrived in Edinburgh to pick up the Autotrail V-Line SE we were told it had been stolen, and a substandard alternative was offered. It was filthy, smelt of smoke and was older than the campervan we had booked. There was no office or customer facilities and the owner Mal Saunders had to find us a toilet at another venue on the trading estate to use. It was all very unprofessional and raised alarm bells with us. He did however put us in touch with Lux Motorhomes nearby who could not have been more different. They salvaged our holiday which had been spoiled by Edinburgh Motorhomes. Dont touch this company.

We hired Hamish the VW van for our first NC500 trip and he got us all the way around with no problems. The van was a good size, and had the basics you'd need and Mal was very accommodating when we needed to change dates. Would recommend people bring things like cork screws, chopping boards, knives etc as these were not provided.
