Great find. Sour dough cardamom bun with coffee was superb. Heather and colleague were very welcoming. Boat museum was interesting and informative.

This is seriously quality bread. The Walnut sourdough is absolutely delicious. Emma is a wonderful cook and ordering and picking up is a breeze.

This is a must visit! You cannot go to Uist without stopping here! Its a bakery, its a hub, its a haven. It sits in the Grimsay community center, along with the post office. Apart from the cafe/ bakery, you can find an archive room showcasing local history and culture, little book shop of great local selections, gift shop with local crafts, and a boat haven (a boat museum)! At times you can see the locals gather here for interest groups and workshops - buzzing with energy - it is truly the locals hub. The cafe is run by two lovely staff, providing you freshly baked cardamon buns, scones, cakes, etcand hot drinks (best coffee on Uist); simple but delicious lunch - we truly enjoyed the food as well as some interesting conversations. A cafe like this in the outer Hebrides is a true gem - you know what I mean. In our brief visit to Uist we visited here twice and spent a long time there each time almost ordering everything we can - that says it all. We are so grateful it is there for the community and visitors. Until next time.

Tried several things and everything was so tasty. Great and friendly service too. Wish it was closer to home or I would be back to get some more tomorrow!
