DONT USE THEM for extensions. They mess you about for 10 months, blame planning and building control. Weeks before start they increase the price by thousands and then when you have lost all faith they refuse to refund your deposit of 2500 and become aggressive on the phone.

Started off with the worst joiners on site. Messy, slow and very disorganised. Had to complain to company. Put 2 new joiners on who where fantastic and fixed problems. Had ethernet cable fitted for tv to annexe. Has not worked since fitted. Once outdoor building group get your money they are not interested in resolving any issues. Charlene who is in charge of groundworks and after service is the most unprofessional person I have ever had to deal with. Very uncooperative, never a swers calls, never calls back. Issues after build still outstanding and we have been promised time and time again they would be addressed. Still has not happened. A company to avoid.

We hired OBG to build a garden room. The project involved raising the ground by 2m by building a retaining wall and filling it, then building a 5m x 4m garden room with bathroom and connecting the electrics, plumbing and internet to our home. Very happy with the final result, but the process took longer than expected and we had a few issues along the way. The guy who sorted the design side always seemed hung over or at least uninterested. The options available for customising the interior were a little basic for the price point we were discussing, and we had to regularly prompt the guy to give us options, which was annoying. There were several back-and forth emails when he forgot what we'd said, at one point he accidentally deleted a whole document of design changes during a meeting. When he finally submitted planning permission, it was initially rejected because he used the wrong scale - which seems basic to me. When it came to the actual build, there were a few miscommunications and no-shows which led to me wasting several days hanging about, and when the work was happening the contractors were a mixed bag. Most were absolutely amazing. The joiners and the ground team who built the retaining wall/sorted the pipework in particular were clean, friendly, quick, a pleasure to deal with. A few contractors were awful, left rubbish lying around our (and our neighbours') garden, played loud music from the van all day, stood around smoking on the street. But I guess that's always a risk when the building firm uses contractors rather than employees. Once everything was complete there were a few teething problems, but these were responded to quickly and resolved to our satisfaction. After 4 weeks we're still waiting for guarantee paperwork though. Like everywhere in the building trade at the moment, delays seem to be the norm. The building itself is sturdy and well-built, the wooden cladding looks great and it's really well insulated. I'm using it as a garden office, heating with a small electric heater, and it's working really well. Takes no time to warm up, the warmth stays in for ages, and that's with big bifold doors on the front. So, despite a bumpy experience, I'd recommend them for the end product.

OBG have just completed our garden room project. The entire installation was completed within four weeks, from demolishing the garage, laying the groundworks to installing a beautifully designed and fitted garden room. These are not kit builds. Each room is bespoke to your requirements. All of the tradespeople were first class, friendly and fantastic to deal with. Alan and Duncan in particular, the joiners, did a fabulous job effectively building a mini house from scratch. The subcontract team of electricians and plumbers were also excellent. We couldnt believe how quickly the project was carried out. Charlene and Amy in the office were fantastic at coordinating the project and keeping us advised of progress throughout. We cant wait to use our new room for a teenage hang-out space. Very happy to recommend.
