Went to Deeside Physiotherapy and was seen by Richard Batho for knee pain. I had been to various other physiotherapists and dismissed with a couple of exercises to do on a sheet of paper. Excellent physiotherapist and highly recommend him.

I booked an appointment to see Richard after badly twisting my ankle and knee out hiking. It was a 30 min appointment ( for 50, which i feel is very expensive) . Richard spent most of the appointment talking about my knee and did a little ultra sound. During the appointment he said if i came back he'd show me how to do some exercises in the gym, which isn't really suitable for me, as I'm unable to attend a gym, so i felt he was just trying to promote gym membership. During the appointment I talked about the ongoing issues I've been having with my hios knees and ankles ( I walk a lot in my work) and that i was unablevto kneel down and sit on my heels. His repky was that it didnt matter, as i dont really need to do that (!) Which shocked me. I've since found better support and treatment, and through that discovered my problems are due to tight hip flexors and knee joints that don't open properly. Things that are very important in daily mobility, back pain etc. I am now working on these issues ( at home) I feel i got extremely poor advice, which could have potentially left me unable to work.
