You can take your dog which is great for me as a dog owner.
There is a gallery and art shop, it has some great local/Scottish art and crafts for sale.
Coffee is good and they have a good selection of sweet treats

Ordered a oat mocha (great!) and oat cappuccino but the cappuccino was tiny - more like london flat white size, if that.
Might try a different cafe in Ballater next time
