Dormie Cottage

A really lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful part of the world. Clean, fresh and very comfortable with all that you need to have a nice break. We were only sorry we weren't staying for longer than 2 nights! We loved the eco friendly approach at the cottage. We missed the entrance looking for the second house, as per directions. Look instead for the white double gates after the first house. You can't actually see the house from the street.

Rooms: Very comfortable. Well appointed. Nearby activities: Braemar and Ballater golf courses, Cycle routes, walks, Loch Muick and more. Walkability: Easy to walk into the village. Lots of walks in the area for all abilities. Plus excellent cycling facilities on Deeside Way. Food & drinks: Good range of coffee shops, lunch venues and evening restaurants to suit all tastes. Noteworthy details: Ballater is an excellent holiday location. Lots to do whatever your interests.

My sisters and I had a lovely two day break at this charming wee house. The location was perfect. Tucked away in a private spot with driveway. The house has everything you could need including a real fire with plenty of logs to keep you warm on a cold winters night. A lovely bottle of wine left as a welcome. Would highly recommend!

Lovely cottage, great communication before stay. Plenty parking on property. Very quiet. It was very cold and underfloor heating in bathrooms would have been great. We tried to get into our amazon account on tv but it wasnt up to date enough to support but that said there is sky.
