Found this place after a wee Google search, we were camping close by and fancied a chippy tea. This place didn't disappoint. We had a selection of fish, scampi and haggis suppers. Everything was cooked fresh and it tasted delicious. I loved the fact they do a mini fish, which was just enough for the kids who would normally have to share a larger fish supper. This place only takes cash, but there's a cash machine in the coop just up the hill that doesn't charge for taking cash out.

Awful, quite simply the worst chippy I've ever thrown away. Their oil is so old the chips tasted like they'd been cooked 15 times and came as a single aglomorated mass, the fish was anything but fresh and had the consistency of rubber, the batter was mushy, and the sausage supper was just a bad. Don't waste your money, head to Dumbarton, Glasgow or Stirling for a proper chippy instead.

I have never had such a poor experience and food before. It started off by not being able to order burgers because the grill was broke, to then there being no fish fingers for my kids, to then having to wait 15mins when we went to collect our order despite being told it was going to be ready. Then the food itself was terrible. My childrens nuggets were like rubber, the kebabs you couldnt even call kebabs. It was literally meat with a tiny bit of side salad. Really badly made and will not be using again.

I'm giving it a 3 because the service was slow and the food was a little bit to oily and it's not the cleanest. But the service was good the guy who served me was very nice and chaty. Kid-friendliness: Got a little bit where kids can sit and look outside
