I have recently returned from a hen party here. What a wonderful house! Beautifully set out, fantastic location, magnificent scenery. My only wee niggle (as with the other 'hens') was the lack of mirrors. Only one full length mirror in the house. The hot tub and sauna were great. Would definitely go back

Please read and be warned in advance of booking this accommodation. When we arrived at this accommodation our first thoughts were the interior of the accommodation is not as spacious as we perceived the pictures online, we found the interior pictures very misleading. The website states it sleeps up to 15, we had 13 people and were extremely squashed. This 15 sleeps statement again is misleading because this incorporates fold away sofa beds, one of the sofa beds were broken and as a result of this someone had to sleep on the floor, not surprisingly this resulted in them having back pain. The accommodation also advertises the likes of a PlayStation, sonos sound system through the property, this was present but the WiFi was horrific, as a result of this we could not play through the sonos system in the property without encountering lags and intermittent disconnections. We also found the en-suite bathrooms a joke as it seemed like they were squashed to fit into the property, very little space in these. My biggest criticism however is the owners, having conversations with them we all felt them to be very rude and abrupt, any questions or queries felt like like it was an inconvenience to them. This stems from interactions with reporting issues we had during our stay, and after our stay we ensured we hoovered and cleaned the place to ensure it was as we arrived. However the owners have been in contact to say the 500 security deposit won't be getting returned to us, they've made claims and fabricated issues so we dont get this back. I feel us if we are being conned out of 500, we have responded to the fabricated accusations and are still not any further forward with this. Its dissapointing that these owners can get away with such actions and there isn't anything we can do about it, we will be taking this matter forward cis court proceedings in due course. I urge anyone reading this to seriously consider alternative accommodation to Mountain Grange so you don't have to go through the stress we have been caused.
