Lovely comfortable house, exactly as advertised. Brilliant log burner which kept us really warm & comfortable in February snows. Aviemore is about a 15-20 minute drive away for groceries. It is maybe about 30 - 40 minutes drive to Cairngorm mountain ski centre, and there are lots of other attractions within easy driving distance as well, covering clay shooting, quad biking, mountain walking, the Wildlife park, Loch Insh, and all the great outdoors has to offer. As far as the house goes; Kitchen fantastic, with all you need to cook for a party of 10. Downstairs is open plan, with loads of space. Our party of 6 adults + 4 kids aged between 9 - 13 never felt cramped or in each others way. The bedrooms upstairs were great, and everyone slept really well, most have lovely en-suite bathrooms too! When the weather closed in (as is to be expected in the highlands in February!) there were an abundance of books; games & a piano on hand to keep us all occupied, just a great place for families to get together! Squirrels in the garden were magic to watch, as were the birds at the feeders. All in all a great place for a chill out! Added bonus of no mobile signal until about a mile up the road.. (however there is free WiFi if you need to check the weather and attractions status). Highly recommended.
