Strathspey Tours

We recently enjoyed a marvellous guided walk around Grantown-on-Spey with John Halliday. John enthusiastically shared an incredible array of fascinating details about the town and its surroundings. His knowledge is deep and he is happy (and able) to answer any questions. It was a thoroughly entertaining few hours with an interesting and generous guide and we look forward to doing other guided walks with him. Thank you John, from Jacky and Ian.

John Halliday put together a wonderful half-day tour for me and my fiance. When booking, I told John of my ancestry from the area (Clan Grant), and so he tailored the tour around showing us some of the historic sites connected to the clan as well a wonderful walk in the cairngorms to a lovely green lochan. We both learned a lot about the Clan history, the history of Grantown-on-Spey and the Cairngorms. He also found us a whole herd of highland coos to fawn over! It was a perfect afternoon. If you are going to be in the strathspey area, give John a shout and he can get you set up to see some of the sights!

A brilliant mornings walk in and around Grantown-on-Spey with a really professional, knowledgeable and entertaining guide. Thank you John (and the weather) I will definitely be joining your groups again in the future and doing a bit more exploring on my own too. PS: Hope I got the hyphens correct!!
