Standing here its hard not to take in what your senses pick up. So peaceful and spectacular views. The cairn is a subtle reminder of the 45 uprising and the clan Macpherson. What hit me was the view from this point is almost untouched from what generations have seen before me. Its well worth a detour to visit.

Being a McPherson, this place has special meaning for me, the views over what was traditionally seen as McPherson Clan homelands are magnificent. The Clan museum in nearby Newtonmore is well worth a visit The bonus here is you can say you've been at the spot which is the Centre of Scotland

It's a lump of rock in the geographical middle of Scotland. Great views along the River Spey valley. Very close to the MacPherson memorial.
