The best distillery tour we went on. Susan is so passionate about Whiskey and so knowledgeable. It wasnt a scripted tour like the others we have been on, it was a really personal tour where you got to go up close to every element of the distillery. Its a beautiful place, and the history and story behind the whiskeys are superb, only improved by Susans knowledge and devotion to the Spey Whiskey. 100% recommend to everyone, especially those who really love whiskey. Xx

Such a great, personalised whisky tasting experience! The place has a history going back to 1770 when a whisky distiller bought a large parcel of land and built a mill on the site. It's blessed with incredibly fresh and clean water, diverted from the Spey river, and uses only manually controlled, traditional methods to produce an absolutely beautiful range of scotch whiskeys. The distillery process is experienced from start to finish, and includes an explanation of the special connections between the royal family and the owners of this very distinct and tiny operation. The tour was informative, entertaining and finished with a series of tastings. I bought a bottle of the cask-strength "Fumare" single malt and looking forward to those special occasions when I will justify cracking it open. A note to those who have placed low ratings because they were turned away... You must, absolutely must make a booking, as they don't have the capacity to just take walk-ins, and they don't have a cellar door. Please make a booking if you can and go back.

We had a great experience here with a nice history lesson about the whiskey and it's origins. Compared to the other bigger distilleries this one may be smaller but has a very impressive history and in general feels much more personal. I absolutely loved the whisky and I would recommend everyone to go and give it a visit as it is a really good find amongst all the beautiful and fun things to do in Scotland! We did the tasting tour and the selection of whisky is just splendid. They offer you their signature whisky and allow you to choose any other within their collection for the last one. Overall wonderful experience!
