(Translated by Google) Isolated on the shores of Lake Alvie. Enchanting landscape. (Original) Isolata in riva al lago di Alvie. Incantevole panorama.

A very scenic and picturesque place, which I found using Google Streetview, and visited later on our holiday tour through the Highlands. The graveyard is worth a visit: many stones, most of them from the 19th century, some of them abandoned - it's a trip to the past. This is a place of religious ceremonies since almost 500 years, the list of ministers goes back until 1567. An interesting, historic fact: In 1905, the hamlet of Alvie was purchased by Sir Robert Boville Whitehead who owned Alvie until 1923. Sir Robert was the grandson of Robert Whitehead who invented the torpedo. The Whitehead family were running two torpedo factories - one on the Baltic and one in England.

Lot of nonsense about a man who lives in the sky. Guy telling the storys kept contradicting himself. Scenery was amazing though.
