The Lodge Dalwhinnie

I dont often write reviews, but the Apiary is an absolute gem. After a happy accident of a train mixup, we found ourselves at the Dalwhinnie station waiting for the next line. How lucky were we to find that this warm cafe was just two seconds up the road!!! The people are so warm, the local beer selection is fantastic, we sipped whisky while looking at the very distillery itself out the window but the FOOD!!! The mushroom leek pie was gourmet level, and the soup was all fresh ingredients out. of. this. world. Theres so much love and care baked into the Apiary, we cant thank them enough for sharing it with these weary travelers. A must!!!

A warm welcome from the owner who explained the dishes & selection of beers. The food was lovely & we would definitely come back here again. We parked our motorhome & stayed on the car-park overnight - excellent Parking: Large car-park that easily accommodated our 7m motorhome overnight, leaving plenty of room for plenty of cars & vans
