A bit disappointed, on arrival at the hotel we could not get in, we called the number displayed which went to an answering machine; luckily we were meeting friends at this establishment and managed to get shelter. It was not until around 6 pm before we managed to get in touch with the owner to gain access to the room. The first thing was the size of the room, having paid top premium we did expect more, the loo had a very small shower cabinet and sink. Our friends room was about the same size with a bath and shower yet cost significantly less. "well done them" The room needed a good clean for example, light bulbs, picture frames and sockets had a coating of dust; the elaborate bed canopy had dust in the pleated fabric which was not pleasant considering you are lying beneath this at night. Getting to and from the room was up a flight of outside stairs which being covered in AstroTurf is a bit scary, as it was wet we were worried we may fall. Breakfast was fine and delivered to the room. Is this owner running this place on her own? Who knows! and if so i feel for her. Lastly did not sleep too well as the local Seagulls were having a sign song from around 4.30 am directly above us. The word hotel is in this case misused; this establishment is nothing more than an extravagant and in our case expensive B&B.
