My Dad booked me here for a much needed break for a week & not only would I return, I would also highly recommend. I was running late so got in touch with the owner & he was happy to amend the time. Received a very warm & friendly welcome at check-in, shown around & any questions were happily answered. This was my first stay in a B&B so I really appreciated B&B was lovely!! Everything was very clean & tidy - inside & out. Beautifully decorated, lovely high ceilings & very cosy feeling. Felt more homely than staying at a hotel. My room was great. Comfy double bed, 2 chairs & table, wardrobe with drawers which had a hairdryer & hot water bottle, TV, kettle with cups & all the stuff for making hot drinks & also an en-suite which had towels, hand wash, shower gel & shower puff!! All the little extras would be great for people who hadn't brought their own. Although there was plenty of breakfast options,. I had a cooked breakfast with a glass of orange juice every morning & I really enjoyed it. Nothing was too much for Jonathan aswell, from making my fry up early one day rather than me missing it to giving me something for an upset stomach (which helped so thank you). Also whether it was just myself or a room full of guests, Jonathan chatted away with everyone & had plenty of knowledge & advice of the surrounding areas for guests. For a central location - it's close to shops, train/ bus station, places to eat & a short walk to the beach - it was very quiet!! I took magazines & my craft things with me but ended up falling asleep & woke up having had a great sleep. On my last day I didn't feel rushed at all. Once I was packed I found Jonathan & he even took the time to catch up on how things had went. Really feel you are treated like a guest rather than a customer & Jonathan goes that extra mile to make your stay as good as it can be. So I would definitely stay again & would recommend it to others who are looking for somewhere to stay in Ayr who are looking for somewhere warm, cosy & peaceful to stay in Ayrshire. Thanks for the relaxing break.
