Try to charge you 10 for missed appointment when you never made an appointment. Dentist has informed me that they try this money making scheme all the time with their clients.

I contacted this company to try and have the bonded metal retainers from a previous brace removed from my teeth. The old bonded metal retainers were breaking down, resulting in wire snapping off and piercing my gums. Embrace U advised they would only do so after I attended for further removable retainers to be made and to allow a period for my teeth to settle to those retainers. After that stage the metal retainers could then be removed. I attended the appointments and had the retainers made. I was then advised that I had missed the appointment to remove the metalwork which (unknown to me) had been arranged at the same time as the appointment to make the removable retainer. That appointment was reorganised. Unfortunately I mis-diarised that appointment and subsequently missed it. I accept that was my own fault. On calling the practice they advised that they have now discharged me from the practice and will not accept a further referral despite the bonded retainer causing significant discomfort and the practice knowing my own dentist will not remove it. Despite pleading that they allow a further appointment and offering to pay any missed appointment fees, they refused to consider the matter and have advised that I will need to return to the practice which fitted the retainers (something they know to be impossible as that practice is no longer trading) While the dental work was all great the time, the practice clearly don't care for the health and well being of their patients.
