Took my toyota car in for its first service. Have a service plan with arnold Clark so chose this branch as their toyota branch in ayr closed last year and they were honouring the service plan. I booked online. I took the car in and like other garages I've taken previous cars to, I expected the car to be ready within 2 hours. I live a 16 mile round trip away so I needed the car back. I'd booked an 8.30am expecting car back by 10.30am. I was advised that the car would be ready by 5pm and was booked in for the whole day. I explained that there was nowhere online explaining that when I booked and that there was no box to tick or anything if you needed car back. I was advised to put in the notes box in future. The lady was really kind and understood my predicament and spoke to the mechanics because I was totally stuck. It wasn't a problem and I was told the car would be ready in couple of hours. I went somewhere local for a coffee and an hour later I was phoned to tell me the car was ready. I checked and everything had been done and car had been given a quick wash. Would have given 5 stars if website had explained car would be held all day if you didn't tell them you needed it back. Staff were lovely, helpful and supportive.
