I relocated from England to S. Ayrshire less than a month before my tax return was due. This has always been a major worry for me and it's a time of year I loathe, dread and everything else because tax returns stress me out! I am not good with numbers and better with language, and knew I was up against the tricky scenario of getting things done in time. But how? I contemplated doing the self-assessment myself and decided it was a recipe for a major and costly disaster. But which accountancy firm would want me on board as a client when we were so close to the deadline? STRESS was not the word. I Googled the area's accountants and came up with Tax Assist Ayr. This company is fabulous from beginning to end--Mike, Maureen and the team whipped up my accounts in next to no time. That was from scratch, and I only delivered a paper file which was not assembled the best way for them. Plus, what I especially love is how easy it was. One quick meeting and voila--set of accounts! It was very...dare I say...pleasant! The return was submitted to Inland Revenue on time and I was kept informed. It was a smooth and seamless process, plus way more affordable than my last accountant, and the work was done with a lot less complaining about my system--well, none at all, in fact! Full marks here. I highly recommend this company.
