Had an appointment today and it was a terrible experience. New dentist as previous one left on maternity leave and never returned. This new one was very rough and rushed, she hurt my gums badly when doing x-rays, she bashed her metal dentistry tool on my front tooth which was excruciatingly painful which I told her it was and she said it was part of the treatment, never in my life have I ever heard of teeth getting bashed with a metal instrument part of dental treatment! She then asked if I grind me teeth and that she could make me a dental mouthguard which will help prevent this but I would have to privately pay 55 for this!! (I am on Income Support so cannot afford this), I then said I'd get one online for about 5 and she said it would not be 'great' - after this experience I feel anything would be better! I will not go back to her and now have a deep mistrust of dentists once again, which took many years to recover from as I have had past bad experiences with other dentists. I certainly will not be back to this particular dentist!
