Booked vehicle in a couple of weeks ago to have noise from under bonnet investigated. Then received a voicemail the night before the vehicle was due to go on site, advising there will be a cost of 138 pounds for investigating the issue, which wasn't advised at time of booking. Tried to call twice to confirm this with someone, was advised someone would call me back. Whilst on my phone a call flashed up from arnold clark for less than a second, hanging up before I could answer. When I tried to call back, it was an automated message advising they had closed. This was a week ago and I have still heard nothing from Arnold Clark. Not the first time Arnold Clark have been incredibly poor with their customer service, not normally one to complain but this is such poor form from them. Took my car to an independent garage who investigated the issue free of charge and had the new part fitted within 3 hours of the vehicle being onsite, all for less than AC were going to charge just to investigate the issue it took the mechanic less than a minute to diagnose. To say arnold clark are rip off merchants would be an understatement
