Chris Johnston Guitar Tuition

Chris has taught my son for the last 3 years + from beginner to where he is now, about to complete Advanced Higher music, and we wouldn't recommend anyone else for guitar lessons. The progress my son has made had been incredible and he loves how Chris gears the lesson towards his music taste. He is a great guy, very knowledgeable and always happy to give feedback and progress reports and even gave virtual lessons through Covid. If you want to learn guitar then I thoroughly recommend Chris. He is an absolute master and will teach you absolutely anything you want from absolute beginner which is where I started to all sorts of scales, chords, playing techniques and any song you can think of. The lessons are well chilled out and he makes you feel at ease when practising. I'll definitely be going back when I've a bit more time, only stopped for a break as my wife is having another baby.

Chris is a brilliant teacher and a real pro who knows what he's talking about. His lessons are fun and tailored for what you want to learn. He's introduced me to a lot of new concepts and my lead playing and theory knowledge have really taken off since I started getting lessons.

My son really enjoys his guitar lessons with Chris and has been going for a few years , he is very patient with kids and tailors the lesson around what they are interested in making it fun for them . Communication from Chris is fantastic and always keeps you updated on progress and what is being worked on. He has made online lessons during these difficult times very easy to get used to. Highly recommended and the go to guy for lessons.
