I have had two loads now, first was 155 about a year ago and consisted of great well seasoned beech hardwood. However the last load about a week ago has gone up dramatically and was 210. As well as going up in price the load appeared smaller and interspersed with about 20% of redwood (softwood) and small bits which can only be described as kindling. In short we got less, for more cost and the quality has dipped. The hardwood you do get is still very dry and burns well, however I am disappointed that the addition of chaff and softwood was made without any explanation or correction in price to compensate.

unfortunately a large amount of the hardwood logs we received had a lot of green moss on them as well as dark black bark. These logs were creating a lot of smoke in the log burner compared to others we have used in years previous. On top of this whenever we burned the logs you could hear sizzling sounds and see water bubbling from the ends of the logs. After sending pictures of the logs to the company they stated that they were ok for the log burner but they were willing to collect the logs and that they could only organise a replacement in 2 months which was not great for us. So we have kept them and are only going to use the ones that seem ok this winter and let the others dry over the summer to use the following winter. Update: been trying to use these logs for the last 2 days and they are not producing anywhere near the same heat compared to other log deliveries I have received. Will have to keep it stored for use next winter.

Always delivered on time , and always good clean Dry wood . . Very happy with GM , and always my first port of call for Firewood.
