Good location and welcome, communication with owner was good too. The cottage itself is a bit run down. Bathrooms are good, internet decent, but there were a few issues that tell me the owner hasn't tried living there for a week to see what's what recently: Some of the mugs were cracked so there were only 5 or so that we're usable. With a party of 6, and a cottage that sleeps 7, that's an issue. Frying pans were over used and need replacing. Cutlery was a mish-mash and some of the tea spoons were really flimsy. Dishwasher was useless and didn't clean anything. Had to hand wash the pots. There was a 3 seater and a 2 seater sofa in the lounge. For 7 people. There was a wooden seat at a table too, but this was not safe to use as the seat pan was held together only by the surface fabric. The duvet on the upper bunk was barely thicker than a sheet, so my son was cold most nights. There's a bizarre mural above the bed in the master bedroom. This was not a pleasant sight! Unless you have a 4x4, the road in is rough on the car! With a bit of TLC, this cottage could be 5 star.
