When we moved to the Highlands we struggled to find a regular supplier and after some searches we found firewood express. After an issue with our last order we called and it was immediately sorted even keeping our delivery date the same. Wood had always been dry and ready to burn plus delivery driver has always tried to get it as far along the drive as possible to make it easier for us to stack.

We have been using Firewoodxpress for a few years now and always receive excellent product and service. Delivery driver is brilliant too.

Have been on their mailing list for a while, but ordered for first time earlier this year. Ordering is easy, but delivery information is worrying as you must choose a specific date for delivery, but they make it clear it may well not arrive on that date! Fortunately, my delivery did arrive on the specified day, as it arrived on a huge lorry and the driver initially refused to take it up my road! He told me other drivers wouldn't have done it, so it makes me wary of ordering again, so beware of this as I assumed if a dustbin lorry could visit easily then the delivery would be okay). I ordered the seasoned larch as it was recommended as eco-friendly as it was Scottish wood, but found it burns very differently to hardwood in a small stove. Although it fitted in, I had to split every piece of wood myself to allow several pieces in at a time for a good burn (length was fine, it was thickness that was the problem). I would therefore order hardwood next time, or source wood split smaller from somewhere else. I like the look and feel of the business, but delivery and wood size/quality lets it down.

I really like Firewood express, beeing a customer for 2 years now. Quality of wood is good and well packed. Delivery is reliable and so practical for us living in the Scottish Highlands. As my wood stove is small, I have however to split again most of the logs, as sometime larger parts are delivered.
