Sure Hotel by Best Western Lockerbie

Hidden gem of a hotel punching well above its weight as a 3 star location. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff and family that own it are friendly and polite, but the best thing about this place is the food, absolutely amazing quality. The breakfast is as good as it gets and obvious care has gone into it but then the evening meals are equally amazing and better than most 4 star hotels I have stayed in. My No1 choice for any future stays in the area.

We stayed here as our original booking for the sister hotel was rearranged. Glen, the owner, contacted us to reassure us that we could expect the exact same quality of service and comfortable lodgings. We were not disappointed, Glen collected us from the Station to ensure our safe arrival and showed us to our suite. The suite had plenty of space, a comfortable bed and an ensuite with a roll top bath. Although we were close to a major road, we could not hear anything outside, the view included a small farmyard holding and some of the beautiful Scottish hills in the distance The dinners were excellent, and they catered for our dietary needs without making us feel anything other than welcome. We loved our traditional Scottish breakfast, (albeit missing the square sausage) which set us up nicely for the days ahead. We would recommend anyone to stay with Glen as they made us feel relaxed, welcome and helped us enjoy our special break.
