A nice quiet cottage set in the countryside, but not quite the romantic location it seemed on the website. The cottage was well equipped and in a nice quiet area, but there's not a lot to do nearby expect the Annandale Distillery (which was excellent). The wood burner was lovely and the little garden overlooking the fields was a lovely area. A fair few places to visit nearby in Gretna and Dumfries, but there's practically nothing in the closest town Annan. We struggled to find any decent walks nearby but maybe we weren't looking in the right places! The cottage is a quite tired and feels very worn, there were a few minor problems including the hot tub was damaged when we visited which was a disappointment as that was what had drawn us to the property. Its right on the road so when traffic goes past its very noisy, although that is very rarely! Overall it was a nice enough place to stay but was a little disappointing considering we'd chosen this as a romantic cottage for our honeymoon
