Former windmill once used to power the local coal mines and then converted to a dovecote after the mines shutdown. Its been restored again and theres a walking path from the Hillview Court area that passes the windmill. Sadly, the area has started to overgrow again. Theres not even an information board there to explain the history. Ill never understand why organisations put effort into restoring our heritage and just leave it for nature to take over.
