Moniack Lodges

We would highly recommend Smithy wood lodge. Beautiful quiet scenic place. Lodge was immaculate and with quality furnishings, Sandy myself and Ailsa our collie loved our stay, and would definitely go back. Richard and Antonia were great host. Welcome pack was a lovely touch, five star accommodation. Loved sitting out on porch chilling, We stayed a week from 14th Aug 2021.

We stayed at Smithywood during the last week of September and really enjoyed the area, including the many woodland and Glen walks, beautiful coastline and beaches of the Black Isle and of course Loch Ness. The Lodge was superbly equipped and a real home from home. We found it a great place to relax and unwind after busy periods at work and our Golden Doodle Watson had a whale of a time! Richard and Toni could not have been more helpful and their attention to detail, including a welcome pack and even dog treats and a small decanter of the local Muir of Ord Whisky was great. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will happily recommend to friends and family. Tony and Helen.

I visited my brother and his partner while they were staying at the lodge to catch up and have a drink. The owner appeared and was very rude to all of us, making us all uncomfortable. He obviously thought I was staying at the lodge too , which wasnt the case. He continued to ask questions, even asking me where I was going to the toilet ?! Very odd, very rude. If you dont want people visiting your guests, make sure you make it clear on your website!!! Although the lodge was beautiful and my brother enjoyed his stay I wouldn't recommend this place after the interaction with the owner.
