Ancarraig Lodges

Our second visit has been as exciting as the first one. Lodges are well equipped to provide a comfortable stay. We enjoyed the log fire immensely. Waking up in the morning and starting the fire adds to the cosy surroundings. This time, we brought all we needed, foodwise, so we didn't need to go to the shops in Drumnadrochit. The ideal stay, to actually have an experience, is four days. The first day one arrives n gets familiar with the place. Second day, you begin to settle and enjoy the scenery. Third day, you relax in the pace of the place. Day four, you have experienced the beauty and bliss of being there and maybe you are ready to going back. The birch woodland is so healing. The wildlife, present yet following their daily routine. We felt refreshed, by doing very little; foodprep was meditative and deliciously wholesome. Away from our phones has been liberating. It's really okay not listening to the news frequently. The people who work there, are attentive and very helpful which adds to the quality of the overall experience. We are thankful and excited to visit again. Rooms: The bedrooms are cosy and comfortable. Plenty of warm beddings when weather is cold. There is extra radiators to ensure warmth and comfort

Rooms: lovely lodges, nice n warm, everything you need Walkability: up hill, so walking maybe difficult for some, amazing views tho
