Rooms: Rooms are comfortable, tidy, and well equipped with all amenities. Nearby activities: Wonderful area to explore. We had a rental car so drove around Loch Nes, stopping in all of the little villages.

TLDR - Amazing hotel with wildlife at the doorstep with fantastic hosts that cater for every and any need. Before staying, we had booked the evening meal via email but due to a system malfunction the response didn't come through. We phoned them and the phone call was 2mins. In this time, they picked up the phone, found our booking and confirmed we'd booked the meal. Great customer service. Upon arrival, had enough parking spaces, received a warm greeting and thorough introduction at the reception, including a room tour. Wildlife, possible walking routes and local pubs/restaurant recommendations provided. Thankyou Chris! The room - We picked room 2 (King room with shared balcony). Oh wow, was this exquisite. No picture gives this room justice. It felt ornate, yet with modern features. USB ports on power sockets. A beautiful bathroom. An extensive tea/coffee/hot choc selection in room (we felt very taken care of). The room was spotless and the carpet felt like it was put in yesterday. The best bed we have ever slept in, felt like sleeping on a cloud. What really makes this room worth the money is the view out of the front of the house, looking over the garden with a beautiful view of Loch Ness in the background. The balcony - A nice size with enough seating for if guests from both rooms were to use it at the same time (2 x tables each with 2 chairs). Ashtrays are provided on these tables outside (hard to find hotels that cater to someone that smokes). A very nice touch that makes you feel welcome no matter your bad habits. Has a great view of the squirrel tree (we saw them coming down the tree in the morning for their food). Evening meal - Seems a bit more on the pricy side when looking at the menu but, trust us, the food and experience is worth the price. You get to sit in a beautiful conservatory where you can see the bird feeders and wildlife around (luckily on our trip a deer came up to the conservatory door during our meal). About the food, the hosts explicitly ask and check your preferences for food. They give 200% effort into any meal that comes out. Also note they have an extensive drinks collection including quite a lot of local-made choices. We had the baked camembert sharing starter, the burgers and finished off with a creme brulee. Honestly the best meal we have ever had, so much flavour and care has gone into this food. Breakfast - Food is cooked when requested, this operates like a table-serviced breakfast. Has every item you'd want for breakfast other than croissants (but we are massive croissant fans). Final thoughts, it was so good, we attempted to book another night online (we stayed 1 night). Unluckily, it was Easter weekend so it was fully booked. We are DEFINITELY going to plan a return trip. Such an incredible experience and stay at a perfectly reasonable price. Just a final add on, I really admired the indoor plant collection. They looked so healthy and happy, my favourite was the three succulents in the conservatory next to our table during breakfast.

Great stay, great hosts, great location. Ellie and Chris were so welcoming and offered all the hospitality you could ask for. They were available when I wanted to have a drink and made a great breakfast. We had some great conversations, Chris knows his history of the area and shared a lot of awesome information. Ellie let me know of a great place for a small walk and a beautiful view of the Loch with a swing. I couldn't recommend this place more, will definitely be coming again!
