As we pulled up to Lochside Hostel, I could not believe how remote it was. It has stunning, unspoiled views of the Loch. We only stayed a night before travelling to Inverness but I wish we could have stayed longer. There was no pressure to do anything aside from read in the comfy common areas, take a dip in Loch Ness from the hostels own private beach, chat to the other guests and volunteers and explore the surrounding hillsides. It was amazing to wake up in the morning and see the Loch quite literally from the comfort of your own bed. There was a great and affordable continental breakfast which cost 3.50. There was lots to choose from; toast, cereal, fruit, juices, tea and coffee and scones! There was also food available from the reception such as locally made crisps, beer and dinner foods! The volunteers were lovely and very knowledgeable!
