Visited family staying here recently and from what I could glean, it's a perfectly pleasant place to kick back and relax. Small downsides are to do with the size of the property, the living space could definitely have done with a good 6 feet extending towards the fields. Soon as you sit down with a small family for dinner it becomes a real obstacle course to get out of the way to say use the bathroom or get to the kitchen. It is a small concern that certain foods are not allowed to be cooked there. Curries and fish based foods are essentially off limits so if you're a foreign family from an Asian country it could feel quite discriminatory. But overall, nice place to stay for a few days. Good place to detox from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Safety: It's so far out of the way from any city, I would be extremely surprised if there was a break in or robbery.

Struan lodge was lovely with everything you need for a great holiday. It was so comfortable. We had my 7 year old son with us and he also loved it- the smart tv was a godsend at times! Its a great base for travel but also Beauly is lovely for a more chilled day and wander- we are at two lovely cafes (the corner on the square and the Italian one I cant remember the name) and the Priory Hotel. We had a lovely holiday.
