Two of us went on the ecobike tour of Balmoral, including a wonderful packed lunch amidst gorgeous scenery. The knowledge exuded by Rachael and Dan enhanced our trip no end, are there two finer, knowledgeable naturalists in the country? Such fun people too. Highly recommended

What an amazing trip! Just back from two incredible weeks of a combined Private tour (Shetlands) and Short Tour (Deeside) with Dan and Rachael. Two highly memorable experiences with some absolutely amazing wildlife sightings. Whilst there was an element of right place, right time, Dan and Rachael worked incredibly hard to put us in the right place to have those opportunities. The research and planning that they had done to make this trip a life-time memory certainly paid off. Shetland is a magical place and we had some truly magical sightings of both a big bull Orca and also a feisty dog otter feasting on a huge scorpion fish. That day, I ran out of superlatives! Royal Deeside was stunningly beautiful in glorious weather and raptor heaven. Buzzards, peregrines, kestrels, golden eagles and some very special sightings of osprey chicks getting ready to fledge. We also took time to explore the fabulous flora in both locations with an abundance of both species and colour bringing the fields, hills and verges to vibrant life. Dan and Rachaels knowledge across the whole natural world and their willingness and love of sharing that knowledge was truly inspirational. I learnt so much on this trip and have returned home with a much better appreciation of what is around us. I cannot recommend this great husband and wife team highly enough for an outstanding wildlife experience. Will definitely be back!

Really interesting and fun morning out. Very thoughtfully put together and even piqued the interest of my teenager daughter which is no mean feat at the best of times. Many thanks both!

We experienced some superb wildlife watching with Dan and Rachel in July 2021. Their enthusiasm and knowledge was apparent from our first email contact, when we were deciding how to spend our two days with them. They know their local area so well and this was obvious when looking for rare Highland plants and moths. Our amazing encounters with wild Beavers and Pine Martens were also made possible by their local contacts and networks. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

We spent the last week of May (2021) birding and walking in the Cairngorms. There were a few "special" birds we really hoped to see - including the Scottish and Parrot Crossbills - which are only found in the UK in the Scottish Highlands, are few and far between, and are tricky to identify. We had heard of Dan and Rachel Brown from a top-notch birding friend of ours and so contacted them and agreed to spend the first full day with Dan. The price was very reasonable, and in the event we had both of them - what a bonus! Both were really quick and accurate in getting onto our target birds and super-swift getting telescope views. Dan even managed to help us get photos of the crossbills, pointing our mobile phone cameras through the 'scope (see our photos). They also knew so much about the insects and flora of the area as well as other wildlife. The weather wasn't too good, so we weren't able to climb to higher elevations, but we got great views of the crossbills, a golden eagle being mobbed by a buzzard, ring ouzel, black and red grouse, and lots more besides. We also had an interesting walk through part of the Balmoral Estate, with beautiful deer peering at us, and past stunning waterfalls. Besides being great naturalists, they were really friendly and interesting people to travel with. We were totally satisfied at the end of the day. Service: Private tours
