A wonderful ruin! We were well rewarded for the detour (the road is beautiful anyway, what splendid woods!) and the walk up there. The climbing of a fence is necessary, so I guess it's just not accessible to some people which is a shame, cos it's really worth visiting.

The walk to the castle is hidden. I thought the direction will lead me to the castle. But, we have to park the car road side and walk. It is a pretty castle and a quick 30 minute visit.

A real treat to see! This tiny castle adorns a hilltop dotted with towering trees. Successfully navigated the gravel-ish single track road to the castle. There's no designated parking, but there is a place to turn around just past the castle. Can confirm that a 9 passenger van can get to this castle. Along the fence stratles wood steps that allow you to access the field surrounding the castle. A sturdy wood gate hangs from the hand land rock wall that circles the castle grounds. Passing through the gate, your exploration begins! The castle is open to the public, just turn the handle. Be sure to read the history plaques as this castle has a dramatic past. Remembering to close doors and gates on your way out ensures the next visitors can enjoy this castle.
