I had such a wonderful experience at this lovely store in beautiful Braemar. I visited during the period of the Highland Games and despite how busy they were, they had so much time for us. We bought some beautiful pictures and bottles of whisky. It really is worth a visit if you are ever in Braemar.

Really dissapointed to see such a nauseating window display in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Tourists coming to our country for an authentic Highland experience are met with a barrage of Union Jacks instead of our beautiful Saltire. The owners (probably English or at least Tories) are showing a real lack of local historical knowledge and the atrocities carried out under that flag in the not so distant past. The Braes o' Mar suffered greatly at the hands of the British state and its sad to think people feel it appropriate to fly that rag , what next...swastikas at Auswitz?? Pity Deeside seems to have been infiltrated so deeply by the English aristocracy.

We stopped in Braemar on our road trip through Scotland and found this lovely shop. A very friendly and very nice lady welcomed us and gave us very good advice on shopping for various things. We were there for over an hour and felt very comfortable and were well looked after and advised. Beautiful items were offered and we were happy to make use of the offer and the nice advice, even if the selection wasn't easy. My wife finally found the heathergem earrings in the colors she had been looking for and we found exceptionally nice items to give as souvenirs or to give to friends. I would highly and highly recommend this shop and we will most definitely be returning when we are back in (our beloved) Scotland in the near future.
