This was our first time In Aberfoyle, chosen more for the location than anything else. We read the reviews for 14 on the hill and liked the look of the photos. We werent disappointed. Our children aged 10, 7 and 5 were all really happy here too; we especially liked the home cinema and wood burner for those wet evenings in the October half term. The location near to the QE forest was superb and meant we could walk up the hill to get there. We also saw red squirrels and had a go on the Go Ape zip line! Other highlights were cycling and a cruise at Loch Katrine and the local coop just down the road. We would really recommend the house and also the host, Jill, who went the extra mile in her attentiveness.

This is the second time we have stayed at Number 12 On the Hill. The house has everything that you need for your break away and the recent improvements to the property made it more relaxing. It is located in a beautiful village with many places to eat and get a brew which we enjoyed following days out visiting and doing activities. We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be hoping to go back in the future. One good point to add as we had never thought about doing this and I don't know why as its a great idea, but get a food delivery from a supermarket delivered to the property for just after you arrive as will save you a fortune from not doing excessive shopping at the local Co-op or like in our case the space food takes up in the car when packing :)

This was my second visit to On The Hill, this year staying in No.14. I can only echo what I said in my review about No.12 following my stay last year. A true home from home, excellently presented and furnished and spotlessly clean with a wealth of comforts. Jill obviously doesnt stand still and is always adding her personal touches and major improvements to her homes. Another great week of walking and cycling in wonderful surroundings with all of those home comforts. Brilliant. Thanks again Jill.

Had a great time at 14 On The Hill. The house has everything that you need and more. 2 minute walk to the main Street where there are a couple of independent coffee shops, Maggies cake shop (gorgeous homemade cakes and biscuits!) a butchers and pubs. Various walks from the house, some amazing views and plenty of red squirrels. We will definitely return
