Beyond Adventure

My wife and I did a half day canoe discovery tour on the river and it was fantastic. Everyone we met at Beyond Adventure was really nice and went out of their way to say hi to us and have a chat, it made us feel really welcome. Our instructor and guide, Sam, was brilliant and really made the experience easy and relaxed. She pointed out loads of things along the river and taught us some basics on how to read the water which was really interesting. I'm hoping to go again sometime to build confidence on the river and would definitely book again with these guys. Loved it!

We had a fab time on our River Spey trip in September 2022. Being able to pack your barrel and jump straight back into the canoes to get going in the morning definitely outweighs any discomfort of camping with no facilities! Mark, our guide, made amazing food and is clearly a seasoned pro in the great outdoors. The lunches are like a Mary Poppins bag of all things yummy! There were a number of issues with river levels and wind conditions which meant changes to the planned route but at the end of the trip we had paddled every day, mostly on the river but with an unexpected day on a loch high up in the Cairngorms. Having not done a multi day paddling trip before, we have nothing to compare it to, but we had a great time.

Our second outing with Beyond Adventure warrants a bit more of a review than just the 5 stars, which they richly deserved the first time around. Me and the wife are not sure wether to upgrade to kayaks or canoe's after our inflatable kayak. We've booked two sessions with Beyond Adventure, once in kayaks and the second time around with canoe's. The staff at Beyond Adventure has been superb every time, knowledgable and more than willing to go the extra mile in answering our queries. It was an extra special day with Sam, as we were lucky enough to be the only people on the trip. The extra bonus was that we had 2 fantastic days out in Aberfeldy, once on the Tay and one on Loch Faskally. I cannot recommend Beyond Adventure enough - and we will be back to do a whitewater primer before setting out on our own!
