Always love it here! It's had a few changes in its time since I've been going, but always feels familiar. Staff are always good and there are enough different drinks to satisfy most taste pallets. 2 pool tables there now too if you want a game of pool and can pay cash or card for that! Can book out sections if you have any parties/celebrations! Come the warmer weather there is a good sized beer garden which normally gets packed quickly when sun peeks out!

I thought this was a pretty average bar restaurant. There is a good choice of bar meals and lighter bites, and a fair selection of drinks on offer. The bar is spacious with some outside seating at trestle tables - beware those that are tilted on a slope! - and as it's a sports bar it has large screen TVs for customers. I'm not a fan, I'd rather not have football commentators and noise from bar spectators to deal with, but that's just my personal taste. The food we had was mostly OK - a katsu chicken curry was enjoyed, but a steak pie with mash and veg wasn't - tasteless mash and typical Scottish overcooked veg! We also had two haddock goujon chunky sandwiches - alright but nothing special. I wouldn't rush back here - but I wouldn't totally object either; I could manage to find something to eat and drink. Prices are much as you'd expect, service was OK. Par for the course, nothing was "wow" - I think 3 stars is a fair rating.
