My complaint is not against this branch, but it is vitally important for all union members & officials to be aware of the complete contempt for the union rule-book & the founding principles of the trade union movement, shown by the Birmingham & west midlands office, in their dealings with a fellow union member & trade-unionist. Following poor service from the unions legal team ( Tinsidlls ), I was forced to make an official complaint. Without viewing all evidence, or even interviewing me, union officials ruled against me. I then initiated a rule six appeal, which against union rules, was held behind my back, & a ruling made against me, so much for democratic union values, of fairness & transparency !. Because regional/sec, Joe Morgan, & Branch/sec, Sharon Yates, stated that there was no evidence of wrong-doing, I was forced to complain to the legal ombudsman, who upheld my complaint of poor service from the unions law firm (Ref no - 175405 ). I then made a complaint & provided evidence to support my allegations, to Threebestrated.co.uk, who, following an investigation, removed the unions law firm from their site, these two facts bring into question , the competency of these two union officials. Because Morgan & Yates , failed in their duty as union officials, to support me , as a union member, I was forced to initiate a claim for constructive dismissal against my employer, through Acas, which was also successful, and this was the deciding factor in my decision to make an official complaint of gross-misconduct against these two officials. I have been unable to work , initially through injury, from 2014, I have had surgery to both knees, & at this time, am on the waiting list to have further surgery, & I have had to take on - my employer, my union, and the union legal team. Because I have been stone-walled by officials, I have been forced to commit the cardinal sin of attacking my own trade union online. to get my full story - please go to the "Prole Star " online news site . I joined the GMB expecting support, in times of need, & not to be thrown to the wolves, & then have to witness two union officials attempting to hold me down , to facilitate a better bite. As a union member, I am asking ( again), general/sec, Tim Roache, to either investigate my complaint of gross-misconduct, or , failing that, to expel me from the union, which will entitle me to complain to the certification officer, & that will mean a full investigation !. I am asking you, as fellow trade-unionists & union members, if you will support my request to have my union rights respected, & for a full & fair investigation into my complaint.
