My son took in his watch (which was an expensive 18th birthday gift) to have a link removed from the bracelet. The staff member (owner?) then told him that some parts of the dials on the face shouldn't be there and he'd remove them for him. After removing two (of the three) he then said "actually, I think they should be there" but that he couldn't re-attach them and my son should take his watch to Timpsons! Timpsons did their best but, despite managing to re-attach the pieces, unfortunately one of the hands now doesn't work. I'd advise anyone needing anything other than a new battery or strap to go to an official stockist or jewellers and I'd advise the owner/staff of the shop to stick to repairs they are confident of being able to carry out competently.
