Since One Medical Group the practice has been absolutely top quality. Twice now the practice has gone above and beyond for me. With a struggling NHS in the background these heroes are 1 in a million.

Ive been with the practice for nearly a year and a half now. Registration was relatively easy and straightforward which was great, however that was the only thing that was. )= For the first 5 months I joined, my regular prescription (which I had discussed and requested from a live doctor live on a live phone call with a live human doctor every single month) was wrong. I got either half of my prescription, 2 days worth of my prescription, only one of my prescriptions, or the prescription hadnt been submitted to the chemist. I called each time to fix it and have to say that theres one woman on reception who doesnt sound like she can be bothered. Across several calls, she didnt listen, was often argumentative, tried to get me off the phone without any action being taken to fix the problem, rejected my request to complain/ask how to complain, didnt want me to speak to a doctor, tried to get me to go through the Christmas period without any medication and just didnt feel helpful. The other receptionist(s) is lovely, and the doctors have good phone bedside manner. I finally managed to get a telephone appointment for 0900 today (which Im grateful for! I know the NHS is struggling, but Ive been trying for 4 weeks). Called at 1130 as still no call and was told the doctor was behind but couldnt tell me how much/whether it would be today/when I could expect to not be called anymore. Its now almost 1830 and I still havent had my appointment. Guess I should give up?

Having recently spoken with three doctors about the same issue, depending on who was available, I have to say each and everyone was incredibly lovely to deal with, all were supportive, sympathetic, kind and prompt to help me resolve. Equally the nurse was exactly this too. What a nice bunch! Thank you for your help. It's been greatly appreciated.

This is a shout out for Dr Muirhead, Support given to my elderly mum was priceless. Listened, gave time, very considerate and patience. Referrals were speedy. Unfortunately moved on from Great Western Medical practice. The reception staff have tried there best to accommodate unscheduled appointments.
