My initial dealings with LC were positive. I found the lady that showed me around the property very good, the team seemed thorough and professional, and I was happy with the levels of communication. However, since I have been a tenant I have found their service and communication extremely poor. It seems that once they are getting paid their level of care is non-existent. When I moved into the property I had numerous issues, including no heating, a broken washing machine, a filthy oven and a non-working shower. I raised these issues with the lettings department and it took me 4 weeks to get most of them resolved. However, during this time I had little to no response to my emails, or updates, apart from when I called and asked. Then during a call, I was spoken to with Disdain by Bethany, and I found her colleague Paula just as abrupt, its as if I was putting them out! Since then I have been chasing up some work that the landlord had agreed to complete. Over 4 weeks I sent several emails, and Bethany didn't respond to any. After my partner called she finally emailed me and blamed the landlord. There was no apology and she seemed more bothered that my partner had called her twice in one day. I am still trying to understand how this would prevent her from acknowledging my email, and letting me know that the matter is in hand. Again, after another week I have requested an update, and reported a broken toilet, but have still not received a response or acknowledgement from that email. Another 4 days have passed and still nothing! Unfortunately due to my work, I am not always available via telephone so I am stuck! I am now looking for alternate accommodation because of the way that LC has treated me, and because of their non-existent customer service. They continually blame the landlord, yet he seems to have been nothing but amenable to my requests. If you're a landlord I would avoid giving them your property to manage, as this is how they deal with your tenants.

steer away from giving your property for them to manage. they take forever to reply during negotiations and then take and sit on your rental money while charging an absolute arm and leg just to delay the whole process. sweet over the phone, right cowboys to deal with

Put in a request online to ask if it would be possible to view a property either evening time or weekend, got a phone call from Lorraine who I found quite rude, her tone of voice wasn't pleasant at all! She asked what situation we are in regards to our property (not sure what that has anything to do with viewing this as no other Estate Agent asked us this so far!). Glad that we decided against viewing this property after how I was spoken to.
